Quarterback Stephen McCaffery accounted for six touchdowns, leading Laguna Blanca to a 62-34 win at Santa Maria Valley Christian Academy in a non-league eight-man football game on Friday night.
The Owls led 48-20 at halftime. The 62 points is the second-highest total in a game for the Owls in the past three years.
McCaffery ran for three touchdowns and passed for three more.
“He had a great night running the ball,” Lopes said of the senior quarterback.
Laguna Blanca improves to 2-0.
