Carpinteria’s girls volleyball team began its Frontier League season on Tuesday with a 25-23, 25-23, 25-15 sweep over Thacher.
The Warriors were led by seven kills and five digs from outside hitter Miranda Marquez. Shannon Callaway added five kills and four digs. Setter Katie McGee had 18 assists. Twelve digs and great passing by libero Lesny Espinoza were also key to Carpinteria’s victory according to coach Dino Garcia.
The Warriors face Santa Paula in their next league match.
