Carpinteria battled back from a 2-1 deficit and beat Santa Paula in five sets in a Frontier League girls volleyball match on Thursday. The scores were 22-25, 25-16, 18-25, 25-18, 15-4.
Miranda Marquez led the Warriors’ attack with nine kills and four digs. Adranna Morales added five kills and four aces and Lesny Espinoza had 17 digs. Setter Katie McGee supplied 22 assists and eight digs.
Carpinteria improves to 2-0 in league and 3-3 overall. On Saturday, the Warriors host a tournament.
