Ventura caught up and passed Dos Pueblos in Tuesday’s Channel League match as the Cougars claimed a 18-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-17 victory after dropping the opening set.
Dos Pueblos’ offense dried up and the Chargers finished the match with a hitting percentage of 0.024. They had almost as many hitting errors as kills. More miscues came at the service line, where the Chargers had 17 errors.
McKenna Goss collected team-highs with 17 kills and nine aces. Natalie Klapp recorded 13 digs and eight kills.
The Chargers fall to 1-2, 0-1.
