San Marcos rode the momentum of its tournament championship over the weekend and swept Oxnard in a non-league girls volleyball match on Tuesday night. The scores were 25-17, 25-21, 25-8.
The power trio of Chloe Allen, Emily Allen and Anika Wilson led the CIF Division 1A eighth-ranked Royals, who won the San Luis Obispo Tournament on Saturday. Emily Allen blasted 15 kills, Chloe Allen had 14 and Wilson contributed seven. The Royals hit .480 as a team.
The Allen sisters also helped out with the setting as Chloe finished with 26 assists and Emily had 20. Setter Gabi Peoples had 17 assists. Libero Sarah Kang picked up seven digs.
The Royals are back in action Thursday against Westlake at home.
