Dos Pueblos head coach Todd Garrett said it wasn’t his team’s night on Tuesday as the Chargers fell to Valencia 25-10, 25-11, 20-25, 25-16.
“Valencia is a good, well-coached team and we gave them too many points and easy opportunities,” Garrett said. “We had no focus tonight especially in the beginning.”
Natalie Klapp’s 12 kills were a team-high. McKenna Goss also reached double figures with 10. Paige Mathison’s 20 assists and San Sander’s 17 digs led the team in those categories.
Dos Pueblos returns to the court next Tuesday when the Chargers host Ventura in their Channel-League opener.
