Bishop Diego’s girls volleyball team fell to Malibu on Friday night in a Tri-Valley League match 25-23, 25-18, 21-25, 25-14.
“We had our chances to win tonight an we made some great improvements throughout the match,” said Cardinals head coach Jason Donnelly. “We are playing great team defense but need to find ways to score in transition and minimize our hitting errors.”
Judith Angulo’s 14 kills were a team high for Bishop Diego, which also benefited from 12 kills, three aces and 12 digs from Francesca Engel. Erin Linehan’s 23 digs also drew praise from Donnelly.
Bishop Diego’s record stands at 3-6 overall, 0-3 TVL. The Cardinals play again on Tuesday against Villanova.
