Dos Pueblos’ girls volleyball team was victorious in its season opener on Wednesday night, topping visiting Santa Ynez 25-13, 22-25, 25-21, 25-21.
Natalie Klapp led the Chargers with 19 kills and McKenna Goss tallied 11. Danica Minnich, celebrating her birthday, collected four kills from the middle position in two games.
“We have been working on blocking and we blocked well tonight,” said Chargers head coach Todd Garrett.
Dos Pueblos(1-0) plays again next Tuesday at home versus Oxnard.
