San Marcos went 1-1 on the second day of the California Classic Girls Tennis Tournament in Fresno on Saturday
The Royals lost in the semifinals against Frontier, 4-2, and bounced back to beat Los Banos on total games, 52-39, after tying 3-3 in sets.
San Marcos was swept in singles by Frontier. The doubles went 2-1. Summer Bosse-Carley McDaniel and Kinsley Shinn-Francesca Diamond swept their sets. The team of Olivia Sturman-Gaby Goldberg lost a third-set super tiebreaker, 10-8.
Julia Frohling rebounded from her lone loss of the tournament with a 6-0,6-0 win against Los Banos. She finished 4-1 for the weekend.
Sturman-Goldberg also won 6-0, 6-0 and finished 4-1. Bosse-McDaniel also went 4-1 at No. 1 doubles.
