Serina and Siena Applebaum swept three doubles sets on Tuesday in Dos Pueblos’ 13-5 victory over Ventura in the Channel League opener for both teams.
The duo captured its sets 6-3, 6-2, 6-1. Chloe Scott and Catherine Wang, meanwhile, downed their opponents 6-0, 6-0 before resting in the third round.
In singles, Katie Yang, KC Egger and Nandini Braganza won points for the Chargers.
Ventura’s Zoe Desario earned three points for the Cougars with a 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 performance.
The Chargers travel to Santa Barbara on Thursday for another league match.
