Dos Pueblos KC Egger swept her three singles sets 6-0, 6-2, 6-1
Dos Pueblos swept all six sets in the first round of Tuesday’s Channel League match at San Marcos and was able to take the foot off the gas in the final round of a 13-5 victory.
KC Egger’s 6-0, 6-2, 6-1 day was a driving force behind DP’s strong outing, as was the No. 1 doubles team of Chloe Scott and Catherine Wang. The duo won 6-0, 6-0 before Nandini Braganza subbed in for Scott to help Wang capture her third set.
Katie Yang was also undefeated for the Chargers, taking two sets 6-0, 6-1 before sitting out the final round.
The Chargers (6-1, 5-1) now have the inside track to the league’s second playoff spot.
