Bishop Diego clinched Tuesday’s non-league match with Santa Clara thanks to a 76-67 advantage in games after a 9-9 tie in sets.
“Lady Cardinals experienced their first win today,” reported Bishop Diego head coach Debbie Ekola. “The match was tied after every round the girls played. I knew it was going to be a close one today! I’m so proud of their performance.”
Sierra Faoro and Pim Chitsanga won two sets each in singles while the doubles teams earned a combined five points.
Lilibeth Mamahua and Francesca Nash teamed to win 2-of-3 sets as did Jackie Pacheco and Ellee Braniff.
