The San Marcos girls golf team shot a 206 to post the new school record in a 206-249 victory over Ventura at the Buenaventura Golf Course on Tuesday.
Freshman Mallory Sestak also made school history, setting the individual record for the Royals after shooting an even-par 35. Sestak was medalist in the Channel League match.
MacKenzie McBride followed closely behind Sestak, shooting a season best of 39. Also contributing to the school record were Alex Pitchford (41), Remi Ho (43), Kelsey Gellert (48) and Lauren Pitchford (48).
San Marcos improves to 11-2 overall and 3-1 in league while Ventura is now 7-2, and 2-2 in league.
The Royals play on Thursday at La Cumbre County Country club where they will host Santa Barbara High.
