Freshman Bella Vigna shot a 35 to earn medalist honors, leading Dos Pueblos to a 194-302 win over Buena in a Channel League match at Glen Annie Golf Course.
Mika Henrickson fired her best round with a 37 and freshman Julia Forster shot a career-low 40 for the Chargers, who improve to 8-0 overall and 3-0 in Channel League.
“We are very happy with the way both our freshman have been progressing and contributing.” DP assistant coach Dan Choi said. “Junior Mika Henrickson also posted a career low score of 37. It was really great to see Mika have a good day as she has long been one of better golfers and works really hard. Hopefully now Mika will have the same confidence in herself as we have in her to consistently go low. ”
DP is back on the course Tuesday, playing San Marcos in a battle of league unbeatens at La Cumbre Country Club.
“Our girls are excited for the opportunity and are up for the challenge,” said Choi.
