The Santa Barbara High junior varsity football team improved to 2-0 with a 14-6 win over St. Joseph on Friday at Peabody Stadium.
This group of players won the freshman Channel League championship title last year.
The team has nice passing combination of quarterback Robert Tovar and 5-3 wide receiver Donovan Zavaleta. Will Beightol is another player to watch.
Another strength of the Dons JVs is their line. Colton Takis is 6-3, 190, Keylin Davenport is 6-1, 190 and Cousteau Christopher stands 6-3, 280. Ab Barraza, Edwin Rivera and Noe Cuevas also are key members of the line.
