BWP: Royals spread scoring around in SBI

San Marcos closed out the Santa Barbara Invitational with 10-9  overtime win over Orange Lutheran and a 13-8  loss to Servite. The  Royals finished 10th in the tournament.

Miles Cole scored his second game-winning goal of the tournament in the match against Orange Lutheran. It was his only goal of the game. George Kuesis fed Cole for the goal.

Kameron Bebb led the offense for San Marcos with three goals.

“Once again we had a different guy step up and lead us in scoring as Kameron Bebb got us out of our 6 on 5 slump, scoring 3 goals and helping us to convert 4 out of 6 opportunities,” said coach Jeff Ashton.

Jesse Morrison and Spencer Wood added two goals apiece.

Morrison scored four goals against Servite.

“Overall, we were very happy with our 10th place finish in our first invitation to this tournament,”  Ashton said. “I think that we got a lot of experience and were able to identify both strengths and weaknesses.  We got solid goalie play from Jack Palmer all weekend and in five games had four different leading scorers: Spencer Wood, Kameron Bebb, Ben Hauschild, and Jesse Morrison twice.”
