Bishop Diego cracked the top-10 of the CIF-SS Northern Division football poll for the first time on Monday.
The Cardinals are ranked ninth after winning their third straight game, 38-11, at La Salle. They are playing in the Northern Division for the first time after the CIF-SS elevated the Tri-Valley League from the Northwest Division.
Two other county teams are in the top 10: Lompoc is No. 2 and Righetti is 10th.
Newbury Park is the top-ranked team in the division. The Panthers will bring their No. 1 ranking to Dos Pueblos on Friday night.
