L.A. Harbor scored twice in the first half on Wednesday and went on to hand SBCC a 3-0 loss in the men’s soccer opener for both teams at Wilmington.
The Seahawks scored in the 25th and 33rd minutes, and added an insurance goal on a breakaway in the 80th minute.
“It was a strange game,” said Vaquero coach John Sisterson. “We didn’t finish as well as we could have and we didn’t look confident on the ball. We weren’t at our best today.”
Sisterson said his team got strong performances from Enrique Fernandez and Efrain Olvera as well as forward Albi Skendi.
The Vaqueros will host Taft in their home opener on Friday at 7 p.m.
