Local Sports Schedule (August 25-31)

Here’s the local Santa Barbara sports schedule for the week of Monday, August 25 to Sunday, August 31.

The wait is over as High School Football schedule kicks off this Friday with five local schools in action. Santa Barbara High, San Marcos and Dos Pueblos all open up at home on Friday night at 7 p.m.

The arrival of football and Labor Day Weekend means the end of many summer activities. It’s the final week of Nite Moves and Reef & Run for 2014.

The annual Pier to Peak Half Marathon is on Sunday, an uphill climb that starts at Stearns Wharf and finishes high above Santa Barbara on East Camino Cielo.
