Santa Barbara High had three teams playing in Santa Monica.
Santa Barbara High’s beach volleyball team defeated Mira Costa and Westlake on Saturday at Ocean Park in Santa Monica.
Three teams traveled with the Dons: Hayden Millington & Kyle Skinner, Sebastian Hallig & Gabe Reali, and Jasper Rhodes & Henry Hancock. Marcelo Duarte, John Hancock and Chad Arneson are coaching.
The Dons won 2-of-3 matches against Mira Costa and swept Westlake.
“Very pleased with the boys performance. Lots of potential,” reported Dons coach Chad Arneson. “It was definitely a good start. It was a perfect venue down there, right past the Santa Monica Pier.”
The Dons, who play in a league with Camarillo, Oxnard and San Marcos, compete again in two weeks at West Beach in Santa Barbara.
