The high school team
The Boys & Girls Club Ballers basketball program dominated at the CalSwoosh Summer Classic at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo over the weekend, bringing home four Championship trophies.
The Ballers had five teams entered into the tournament — 3/4th grade, 5th, 6th, 7th and high school. The youngest team came in third place and the others came in first.
“It was a strong weekend for the Ballers organization and the coaching staff is proud of all the kids that came out and played their hearts out and gave it their all,” Kim Kjar, Athletic Director and 7th grade coach, said. “That’s all we can ask for as coaches.”
The tournament included teams from Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, San Luis, Paso Robles and Central Valley California.
