San Marcos standout Paige Hauschild has been named to the USA Water Polo Women’s Cadet National Team.
The squad, consisting of elite high school freshmen and sophomores from throughout the country, will represent the U.S. in competitions in Hungary later this month.
Hauschild was an All-Channel League first-team selection in her freshman year at San Marcos, helping the Royals win a share of the league title.
Hauschild and her 13 USA Cadet teammates each need to raise $1,500 for travel and other expenses for the Hungary trip. Donations can be made through USA Water Polo at http://ntsc.usawaterpolo.org/e/paigehauschild.
The team departs for Hungary on July 20, so all donations must be made before that date.
