Local players Christian Love and Jordon Dyer earned their AAA ratings by winning the California Beach Volleyball Association Santa Barbara Men’s AA Tournament at East Beach on Sunday.
In the final, Love-Dyer defeated Chad Kingi and Austin Kingi, members of UCSB’s men’s indoor team. Dyer is a former Dos Pueblos standout.

On Saturday, Santa Barbara High’s Jessyca Beksa won her second tournament of the week, combining with Tess Judge of Croton to take the CBVA Santa Barbara Women’s Unrated event. Beksa and Judge earned their A ratings.
Beksa-Judge defeated Elizabeth Sheffield (Woodland Hills) and Taylor Edwards (Saugus) in the title match. On Tuesday, Beksa, a standout player at Santa Barbara High, won the girls 18-under division title at the CBVA ROX Premier Tour event at East Beach.
