The Dos Pueblos Little League Junior All-Star team earned the District 63 championship title, defeating Saticoy 11-1 in a 6-inning mercy rule game.
In a sequel to his excellent performance in the previous game, starting pitcher Davey Demeter pitched 4 1/3 innings and held Saticoy to three hits and struck out two. Will Goodwin came on in relief to close out the game.
Dos Pueblos scored 4 runs in the first and fifth innings and one run in the second, fourth and sixth innings.
Thomas Jimenez continued to lead the charge for DP with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Jimenez and Joey Rainbolt each reached based four times in four at-bats. Will Yamasaki was 3 for 3 with 2 RBIs and a run scored.
The District 63 Champion Junior All-Star team is comprised of Davey Demeter, Will Goodwin, Thomas Jimenez, Jacob Juarez, Joe Landis, David Leon, Matt Molina, Joey Rainbolt, Caleb Severson, Zach Wright, Will Yamasaki, Jasper Yost and Richie Zajic. The team is managed by Mike Landis and coached by Mike Dzerski, Stan Soto, John Yamasaki and Jeff Yost.
