Dillon Dobson belted a mammoth homer and finished a triple shy of hitting for the cycling in the Foresters 7-1 victory over the San Francisco Seals on Tuesday at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium.
Dobson had two singles, a double and a homer to pace the Santa Barbara attack. He singled and scored the go-ahead run on a double by Dave Graybill in the third inning.
Starting pitcher Kenny Chapman threw five innings to pick up the win. He gave up one run on three hits and struck out four. Blake Goins, Dalton Brown, and Troy Cruz came in to relieve Chapman and pitched four innings of shutout baseball.
All nine batters for the Foresters reached base safely. They also had eight stolen bases in the game, two coming from Cole Atwood, who leads the team with 15.
Granger Studdard extended his hitting streak to nine games.
