Santa Barbara Pony crushed Redlands 14-2 on Saturday for its first Super Regional victory in Whittier.
Bryce Warrecker, Conner Chavez and Eli Sada combined to throw a two hitter for the 12-and-under all-star team.
Alex Bermudez launched a three-run home run and Udy Loza connected for a solo home run. Other offensive highlights included Warrecker’s three-run double and multi-hit performances by Bermudez and Sada.
Santa Barbara, which lost to Placentia in its tournament opener on Friday, faces West Covina on Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. in an elimination game.
