Addi Zerrenner ran a personal personal best time and finished third in the girls 3200 meters at the CIF State Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis.
Zerrenner was timed in 10:13.12, improving on her state qualifying time of 10:15.50. Her podium finish capped a stellar high school running career. Twice she qualified for the state track meet and ran in three State Cross Country Championships. She finished second in her senior season.
Zerrenner last competed at the state meet during her sophomore year at DP. She placed 13th in the 3200 (10:42)
The 3200 champion was Bethan Knights of Northwood. She ran out a big lead on the first lap and was never threatened. She won in 10:00.19 Sarah Robinson of Gunn High School was second in 10:12.40.
