Zach Snyder of CIF-champion Santa Ynez was named the MVP of the All-CIF Division 5 baseball team and Warren Dickey was named Coach of the Year.
Snyder, a senior, posted a 10-0 record on the mound and batted an impressive .443 in helping the Pirates go 29-1 and win the first CIF baseball title in school history.
Pirates Colby Barrick and Zach Torra were selected to the first team. Barrick, a senior, batted .438. Torra, a sophomore pitcher, went 10-0 with a sparkling ERA of 0.58.
In Division 7, Cate senior catcher Zach Ell earned All-CIF honors. Ell batted .545 for the Condor League co-champions.
