The Goleta Valley South Under-12 All-Stars opened the Little League District 63 Tournament with an 11-1 mercy-rule win over Santa Paula.
Pitchers Nico Martinez and Jack Winterbauer combined on a one-hitter and struck out 11 in four innings.
Nick Martinez and Nate Feldhaus each hit 3-run homers and Winterbauer added a solo shot. Jacob Galindo hit two doubles and drove in two runs.
GVSLL returns to the field Saturday against Fillmore at Montalvo Little League.
