The Foresters were on the run Friday in their 8-6 win over the Walnut Creek Crawdads at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium.
Santa Barbara stole nine bases and banged out 13 hits in the come-from-behind victory. Colt Atwood had four singles and Dave Graybill and Jack Vickerson each drove in two runs.
The Foresters fell behind 5-2 in the second inning but they reclaimed the lead in the fourth. Reliever Troy Cruz made it stand up with a solid performance. He struck out seven, allowed only one hit and didn’t walk a batter in four innings of work. Cody Van Aiken pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning to earn the save.
The Foresters improve to 14-3 and 12-3 in the California Collegiate League.
