Presidio Sports recognized its All-City Team members at a Santa Barbara Foresters game on Sunday, with the athletes in attendance being presented on the field at UCSB’s baseball stadium in a pre-game ceremony.
After each name was called over the PA system, Kelsie Bryant’s name was randomly chosen from a bag to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Bryant, an All-City Girls Soccer Player from Carpinteria High School, threw a strike from the mound.
It’s the second-straight year that Presidio Sports has invited its All-City athletes to a Foresters game. Santa Barbara, a summer-league team consisting of college stars, lost Sunday’s game to the Neptune Beach Pearl 5-4 for its first loss of the season.
Based upon on-court performance and team leadership, the All-City All-Star Teams are selected by Presidio Sports to recognize the top high school student-athletes competing on the South Coast from Santa Barbara, Goleta, and Carpinteria.
Presidio Sports chose All-City Teams for football, boys & girls basketball, boys & girls soccer, baseball, softball, and boys volleyball.
