Bishop Diego’s track and field team qualified three athletes for the CIF Prelims at the Frontier League finals.
BJ Murillo won the boys 100 (11.48 ) and 200 (23.16), Adrian Solis finished second in the shot put ( 37-07.75) and discus (97-11.25) and Zara Brillo-Sonnino was second in the girls 100 (13.32) and third in the 200 (27.87).
“The highlight of the meet was definitely BJ Murillo who won both of his events by edging out the season’s top competitors,” coach Veronica Gines said. “It was great to see everyone’s hard work pay off and to see them rise to the occasion. They all earned it.”
