Stephanie Swann finished her high school softball career on a high note, getting three hits and pitching a complete game to lead San Marcos to a 4-3 victory over Santa Barbara High on Thursday.
Swann struck out five, induced 11 ground-ball outs and had five assists and one put out from the circle. She scattered seven hits. At the plate, she went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI.
Cara Christian also went 3-4 and scored two runs. Hailee Rios had two hits and a RBI and Sarah Douglas drove in a run for the Royals (11-15, 3-9).
Down 4-0, Santa Barbara (5-18, 1-11) scored three runs in the fifth to make things interesting. But Swann and the Royals held on for the season-ending victory.
