Jade Sinskul belted two homers and drove in five runs in DP’s 8-1 win in the CIF quarterfinals.
Jade Sinskul was in a zone at the plate on Saturday, and the Dos Pueblos softball team couldn’t have been happier.
Sinskul slugged two home runs and a double and had five RBIs, leading the Chargers to an 8-1 victory at Beaumont in a CIF Division 4 quarterfinal softball playoff game.
The Chargers will play host to Santa Monica in a semifinal game on Tuesday. They lost to the Vikings in last year’s semifinals at home.
Sinskul broke a scoreless game in the fourth inning with a solo homer. She gave the Chargers a 4-0 lead in the sixth with a three-run blast and added a run-scoring double during a four-run seventh inning.
With her batterymate doing damage at the plate, pitcher Lani Evans took care of business on the mound. She allowed Beaumont just four hits. The hosts scored their run in the bottom of the sixth.
Dos Pueblos improves to 23-6 while Beaumont finishes with a 19-9 record.
