Ali Everson and Lindsay Bosio each drove in two runs and Isabella Gregson pitched a solid game, leading Bishop Diego’s softball team to a 7-4 Frontier League win over Malibu on Thursday.
Gregson allowed only one earned run in her complete-game outing. She also contributed to the offense with two hits, two runs scored and two stolen bases
Everson hit a two-run single in the first to tie the score at 2-2. Marisa Cordero went 2-for-4, and Bosio was 2-for-3 with a double and “turned in another outstanding effort behind the plate,” said coach Tom Beamer. Bosio threw out two runners attempting to steal.
Beamer also praised the defense of shortstop Sarah Leicht.
