Conference baseball rivals SBCC and Oxnard will square off for a berth in the State Community College Final Four.
The teams will play a best-of-three series in the Southern Cal Sectional at Oxnard. The opening game is Friday at 2 p.m. Game 2 is on Saturday at 1 p.m., and Game 3, if necessary, is on Sunday at noon.
The matchup of Western State Conference North rivals was set up when Southwestern upset third seeded Santa Ana, 6-2, on Sunday.
Oxnard (31-10) won the WSC North title while SBCC (27-13) finished as runner-up. The teams split their four conference meetings. The last two games were decided by one run in 10 innings. Both teams have outstanding pitching staffs.
Oxnard advanced to the sectional by defeating L.A. Pierce in two games. SBCC ousted L.A. Mission in two straight.
In the other sectional series, fourth-seeded Southwestern will play at No. 1 Orange Coast.
The winners advance to the State Final Four in Fresno.
