San Marcos leads nine area teams into the CIF boys volleyball playoffs.
The Channel League-champion Royals (25-3) drew the No. 1 seed in the Division 2 bracket, which includes Dos Pueblos, Santa Barbara High, Bishop Diego and Carpinteria.
Condor League-champion Laguna Blanca (18-3) received the No. 3 seeding in the Division 5 draw. Cate and Providence also earned D-5 playoff berths.
Santa Ynez is in the Division 4 bracket.
The playoffs open on Saturday with Division 2 wild-card matches that will include Santa Barbara and Carpinteria. The Dons (13-9) host San Luis Obispo (15-7) at 4 p.m., and Carpinteria (8-7) is at home against Saddleback (12-11) for a 5 p.m. match.
The Carpinteria-Saddleback winner will travel to defending Division 2 champion and No. 4 seed Esperanza for a first-round match on Tuesday. The Santa Barbara-SLO winner plays at Eastside in Lancaster. Santa Barbara was the Division 2 runner-up last year.
San Marcos, a semifinalist last year, plays a first-round home match on Tuesday night against the winner of a wild-card clash between Knight and Arcadia.
Dos Pueblos (14-11), the Channel League runner-up, drew a home match against Righetti (12-14) on Tuesday.
Bishop Diego (11-11), the No. 4 team from the Tri-Valley League, opens at Pac 7 champion Arroyo Grande in the first round.
In first-round action in Division 5, Laguna Blanca (18-3) is home against Orangewood Academy (5-15), Cate (10-5) hosts Lynwood-Firebaugh (16-2) and Providence (6-4) travels to El Segundo-Vistamar (20-8).
Santa Ynez (14-13) hosts Los Altos (10-4) in a first-round match in Division 4.
Second-round matches are scheduled for Thursday, May 15, with the quarterfinals on Saturday, May 17 and the semifinals on Wednesday, May 21.
The division championship matches are on Saturday, May 24 at Cerritos College.
