Baseball teams from Dos Pueblos, Santa Barbara High, Carpinteria High and Cate learned their CIF playoff draws on Monday morning.
While the Chargers, Warriors and Rams begin play later in the week in first-round games, the Dons (17-8, 8-4) are scheduled to play in a wild-card game on Tuesday at Los Osos (13-13, 8-7) in Rancho Cucamonga. The winner of the wild-card game will advance to face Redlands East Valley on Thursday.
All CIF baseball games are scheduled to begin at 3:15 p.m. unless both schools agree to a change.
The Chargers (14-13, 9-3), who tied with Buena for first place in the Channel League but took the second seed because they lost the head-to-head series with the Bulldogs, have to travel for their first rounder on Thursday. Dos Pueblos will travel to Garden Grove to take on Pacifica (20-10, 9-3), another second-place team from the Empire League.
Playing in Division 6, Carpinteria’s playoff opener is Thursday at Windward (11-7, 5-1). Carpinteria (11-11, 6-4) has played in four-straight one-run games going into the postseason.
The first round for Division 7 is on Friday, when Cate (9-7, 4-2) will host Calvary Chapel.
