Santa Barbara High senior catcher Skyler Sabado signed a National Letter of Intent with Benedict College, a NCAA Division 2 school in Columbia, S.C., his father, Bob Sabado, reported.
Sabado is one of the leading hitters for the Dons.
The Benedict College baseball team is coached by Selwyn Young, a former assistant coach with the Santa Barbara Foresters. His nephew, Delwyn, was a standout player at SBCC and was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers. He played for the Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates.
