Providence fell to a strong Vistamar in a first-round CIF Division 5 boys volleyball playoff match on Tuesday in El Segundo. The set scores were 25-10, 25-17, 25-6.
Providence was making its CIF playoff debut after going 1-12 in its inaugural season last year.
“To make CIF in our second season, is outstanding,” Coach Willy Rossow said. “I’m proud of our team and glad to be their coach.”
Erik Sheets had 10 kills, three aces and a block to lead Providence. Josh Dillon added five kills and a block and James Solum had 12 assists and two aces.
The Patriots finish the season at 6-5.
