Laguna Blanca posted a confidence-boosting win going into the CIF playoffs, beating perennial small schools power Viewpoint, 25-22, 17-25, 27-25, 25-23, on Thursday night in Calabasas.
Colton Johnson led the Owls with 16 kills, five digs and two aces. Kiyan Mashhoon added 10 kills, five digs and a block. Ryan Bickett paced the defensive effort with 24 digs and did a nice job receiving serves, according to coach Dillan Bennett.
Setter Cuyler Zimmerman handed out 49 assists and contributed on defense with 10 digs.
Laguna Blanca improves to 15-3.
