Cate’s boys tennis team won four of its last six matches on Tuesday to defeat Arroyo Grande 10-8 in a non-league match.
Andrew Smith and Edward Cho picked up a huge win in the third round in doubles by beating Arroyo Grande’s No. 1 team 7-6(0) in a tiebreaker. Michael Revord and Jack Hoover were solid all day in doubles, winning all three sets they played.
In singles, Kevin Ha, Christian Herman, and Johnowen Lowe all won two-of-three sets.
Tuesday’s match was a battle of ranked CIF teams. Cate is No. 4 in Division 4 while AG is No. 8 in Division 3.
