Cameron Cox at USA Junior Nationals
Dos Pueblos’ Cameron Cox earned All-American distinction on Saturday by placing eighth at the USA Wrestling Junior Nationals.
Cox defeated six of his nine opponents, including two wrestlers who recently made the CIF State Tournament. Other wins came over top athletes from Minnesota, Indiana and Oklahoma.
Competing at 132 pounds, Cox earned 16 points for Team California. He lost to 3-time Oregon State Champion Alex Rich in the seventh-place match by decision.
