Double wins from Chloe Hamer, Adilene Aldapa and Courtney Clyde led the San Marcos girls track and field team to an 87-40 win at Buena in a Channel League dual meet on Wednesday.
The Royals also won the boys meet, 70-57, behind double winner Jon Wilson. Wilson took the 300 hurdles in 42.79 and won the 110 hurdles in 16.71.
In other standout performances, Austin “Coop” Pugh won the discus at 130-11 and took third in the shot put at 39-0.5, and Esteban Alfaro captured the 100 in 11.32.
Chloe Hamer won the girls 100 hurdles (16.58) and 300 hurdles (49.19). Aldapa took the mile in 5:06.48 and the 800 in 2:23.57. Courtney Clyde won the triple jump (33-11.5) and long jump (16-5). Erica Schroeder ran 58.63 in winning the 400.
The Royals will compete at the Santa Barbara County Meet at Carpinteria on Saturday.
