Alex Valente won two individual events and was part of two winning relays for the Dos Pueblos boys swim team at the Mt. SAC Spring Meet of Champions in Walnut.
Valente set a meet record in the prelims of the 100 butterfly (48.28) and came to win the final in 48.80. He also captured the 100 backstroke in 51.33.
Walker Bell took first place in the 500 free in 4:33.95. Federico Sarboraria finished second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 47.58.
Bell, Sarboraria, Valente and Blake Parish combined to win in the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay. The Chargers set a meet and pool record in the 200 medley with a time of 1:33.04. Sarboraria swam the anchor leg in the 200 and Valente did the same in the 400.
The DP boys finished fourth out of 55 teams.
The Charger girls placed third.
The 200 medley and 400 free relay teams posted runner-up finishes. The 200 quartet of Courtney Nuttall, Maelyn Adornetto, Nicole Berari, and Shannon Cleary clocked in at 1:49.85. The 400 team of Nicole Berari, Reagan Eickert, Adornetto and Cleary were timed in 3:35.63.
Individually, Cleary took second in the 100 freestyle in 53.23 and Eickert came in fourth (54.14). Eickert also placed fourth in the 200 free (1:54.14)
