Ben Brewer was the lone event winner for Santa Barbara High’s swim team in a loss to Ventura on Friday.
Brewer won the 100 freestyle in a 126-57 loss to the Cougars in the Channel League meet. Sawyer Rhodes got a second in the 50 free and third in the 100 free.
Ventura won every event in a 116-66 victory in the girls meet.
For Santa Barbara, Jessica Gaffney finished second in the 200 IM and the 100 free. Anna Brummett was runner-up in the 500 free and third in the 200 free, while Lexi Gross finished second in the 200 Free and third in the 100 free.
Daisy O’Mahoney and Gina Moore posted personal bests in their races in their varsity debuts.
