Cate’s depth helped it beat defending Tri-Valley League girls swimming champion La Reina in a dual meet on Wednesday, 93-79.
The Rams won four events and achieved 10 CIF automatic and consideration times.
The event winners for Cate were Sophia Soriano (200 IM), Tamsyn Walker (50 free), Anna Lueck (100 fly) and the 400 free relay (Soriano, Anna Satterfield, Ally Satterfield, Lydia Stevens).
“The Cate girls accomplished this win by showcasing their depth, getting second and third to outscore first-place La Reina swimmers in six events,” coach Erik Hansen said.
