Hailee Rios rapped two doubles and drove in two runs and Sarah Douglas doubled and had two RBIs, leading San Marcos to an 8-4 non-league softball win over Channel Islands on Tuesday.
Rios started on the mound and struck out five in three innings to pick up the win. Stephanie Swan finished the game and struck out seven to earn the save.
Douglas and Rios were both 3-for-4 at the plate.
The Royals scored four runs in the third inning only to have Channel Islands come back with three runs in the fourth. San Marcos added a run in the fifth on a RBI single by Claudia Herrera.
The Royal tallied three runs in the sixth on a run-scoring double by Rios and a two-run double by Douglas.
San Marcos improves to 7-5.
