Alejandra Castillo drove in two runs with a double in Santa Barbara High’s 4-2 loss to Ventura in a Channel League softball game on Tuesday.
Castillo scored Jasmine Manson and Olivia Harris. Manson and Harris both had two hits apiece. Esmeralda Estrada had one hit.
Ventura capitalized on two Santa Barbara errors and took a 4-0 lead.
Despite the loss, Santa Barbara coach Victor Alvarez like how his team played.
“I am just proud in how the girls competed today against a very good Ventura team,” he said.
