Quinn Peacock drove in two runs to pull Dos Pueblos even with powerful Harvard Westlake in the fifth inning. But the Wolverines responded with six runs in the bottom of the inning and beat the Chargers 8-2 in a non-league baseball game at USC on Tuesday night.
Harvard Westlake is the No. 3-ranked team in CIF Division 1. The Wolverines held the Chargers to three hits, two of them by Peacock.
DP’s Joshua Tedeschi pitched well for four innings before getting roughed up in the fifth. He struck out seven and allowed only two hits, but walked five.
The Chargers (7-9) return to Channel League action on Friday against Ventura.
